2）抗病毒天然免疫应答的分子调控：研究宿主抗病毒天然免疫应答活化与终止的分子机制；鉴定宿主抗病毒防御的关键调节因子；筛选针对抗病毒固有免疫的药物新靶标和化合物。

 
3）肿瘤干细胞自我更新的信号调控：肿瘤干细胞自我更新的分子机制；细胞因子信号和金属蛋白酶在肿瘤干细胞自我更新中的关键功能与机制。

Our major  research goal is to elucidate the physiologies and underlying mechanisms  of innate host defense and cytokine signaling in tumorigenesis and pathogen  defense. Particularly, it is our main interest to understand how innate host  defense and cytokine signaling coordinately regulates the initiation and  resolution of cancer and antiviral immune response, and ultimately, to  facilitate the developing of cures for cancer and infectious  diseases.
